INED’s mission is to enhance and facilitate the exchange of innovative strategies, tools and techniques among the national and international development agencies.

History

The International Network for Economic Developers (INED) was conceived in 1995 to promote and enable an international exchange of information, experience and best practices among international economic development practitioners and organizations.

INED’s members are nationally recognized economic development membership-based organizations across the globe. Our member organizations are actively engaged in the revitalization, creation, retention and expansion of jobs and wealth within their communities. Some of our members include:

  • British Urban Regeneration Association (BURA)
  • Clusters Asia Pacific Inc.
  • Economic Developers Association of Canada (EDAC)
  • Economic Development Association of New Zealand (EDANZ)
  • European Association of Development Agencies (EURADA)
  • International Association of Science Parks (IASP)
  • International Economic Development Council (IEDC)
  • Local Economic Employment Development Programme (LEED)

INED encourages similar organizations to join the network and participate in an on-going dialogue with leaders in the field of economic development.
